Room 1 blessing

Thursday 28th March

On Friday the whole school went to Room 1 for the opening of the new classes.

First when we got there and sat down , father came and blessed Room 1 with Holy water and said a prayer.

After that the whole school sang a song called “Light a candle” , then all the teachers said their own little prayer and got one of their students to light a candle to represent what the teachers have said.

After that we sand “light a candle” again and then we ended it off with another prayer.

That’s when everything was finished and we all went back to our classes.

Soul Friends Mass

Soul Friends Mass

On Friday ,

The whole school went to the church for Soul Friends mass , my soul friend was Aaliyah , we were waiting till everyone came inside. When everyone came inside Angeline and Meela did a speech. After the speech we sang a song the song is called “light a candle”. After the song Father started talking.

When Father finished talking we sand another song and then Sateki , Jonah and Father did our Soul Friends facing. We had to face our Soul Friends , they had to ask us questions about our Soul Friends and we had to say “yes I will”.

Some students with their Soul Friends then went up and said prayers of the Faithful. After that we sang another song and then Trina and her Soul Friend Melie went and did the offertory , and took up the bread and the wine.

Then we all went up and I put my hands across my chest because I haven’t done my Holy Communion. When the Holy Communion was finished Mr Coakley went up and announced the people who were being the new leaders of 2019. One of them was my brother Laki and I am very proud of him.

After that everyone sat down and Father did the ending prayer. When he finished the prayer he went and stood in a line with some other people and walked down the aisle. We sang a song while they were walking.

This is when the mass finished and everyone left the church to go for shared lunch.

The Soul Friends mass was very fun and I will make sure to help my Soul Friend Aaliyah.

Run , Jump and Throw

On Monday Room Three went outside to go to the field.

Our coach was  Coach Alan. He was telling us the instructions.

Afterwards we all went to the field.  We were playing a game.

There were three teams. The people were trying to take the cones from the other people.

Soon we went to the field.   We started to race each other.

There were cone on the field.  We had to race to the first cone.

later on we raced to the last cone. Then we raced again then went to the blue cones.

one person had to run then the other people had too pass the ball to each other.

We were all taking turns then later on we had to pick up the cones then everyone went on the

floor some people were drinking there water bottle, Alan was telling us that we were

doing a great job then we all went back to class.

We also were throwing hula hoop and some people were behind

cones and there people at the last cone they were running and there were  yellow circle.

When they run you have to throw the yellow circle things to the people .

When you get them they have to keep going  

when they make it to the end you have to go back to the end you have to

go back to the start when you had your turn you have to swap with your partner then we

had to go to class so we went.
