Pablo Picasso Art - Cubism Final Drawing
Last month we began our cubism portraits based on Pablo Picasso's cubism art. In cubism you can ply around with lots of shapes. The facial features like your mouth, nose, eye, ear could be in different shapes and different places. Before completing our final drawings we did two practices (go on my blog to see the two practices, it also has the steps on how to make a Picasso art if you would like to also like to draw a Pablo Picasso Cubism Art Pablo Picasso Attempt #1 Pablo Picasso Attempt #1).
Something I found interesting was making different shapes and putting them on different places because normally that have a specific place where they are.
I found colouring my my art because it took ages! but I finally I got through it!
For my picture I want to focus on letting go by trying not to keep my drawing perfect.
Here is my final picture!

Cybersmart Challenge #6 Tidy Drive
Today for Cybersmart we have done another cybersmart challenge. This challenge number is 6. This Challenge was about cleaning your drive and putting them into the right folders naming your documents. I really liked putting the things in order which is the 2nd slide I liked putting them in order. I didn't really like sorting our John's stuff well I did like it because I had some technical difficulties. Overall I really liked doing this challenge! Maybe you should clean your drive (it took me quite a long time to do mine). Check out my activity.
Moala - The Maori Gods
Today we have learnt about the Gods that Rāngi and Papa made.
There are so many gods but here are the ones I have learnt Tūmatauenga, Tāwhirimatea, Tānemahuta, Tangaroa, Haumiatiketike, Rongomātāne, Rehua, Rūaumoko.
Tānemahuta is the son who separated Rāngi and Papa.
Something I found hard was trying to get all the macrons on the letters.
That was really the only things hard about it!
Read my google slide to know more about the Gods! :)

Soul Friends Mass
Today Saint Pius X Catholic School had a special mass. We had a mass because we celebrated three occasions. Saint Patricks, Ash Wednesday, Soul Friends. Today we honour St Patricks who is the patron of Ireland People and The Holy Faith Sisters who created this school St Pius X Catholic School. They also brought the Genius Ideas Soul Friends.
Soul Friends is about taking care of your soul friends. Also being a role model to them and taking care of them when they are sad and no one is around them. They communicate with each other and share there worries and joys together. Soul Friends was introduced by The Holy Faith Sisters who started it. Where the older ones look after the younger ones.
We had our Ash Wednesday because on the day we were supposed to have Ash Wednesday we were in lockdown so we couldn't do Ash Wednesday.
St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. He lived in the fifth century. He was born in the Roman Britain. He was kidnapped and was brought to Ireland. He was a slave at the age of 16. He escaped, but returned to Ireland and was credited with bringing Christianity to its people.

It looked pretty hard at first but it was easy when I knew how to solve the problem. If you would like to know how to solve multiplication problems watch my screencastify video and you would know! My goal is to know how to multiply 5 digit numbers and know what prime and composite is!

Easttle Recount Writing Term 1
Friday 12th March Whanau and Family time
Introduction/Planning
Who - My cousins, aunties, uncles, brothers, mum and I.
What - Prayed then eat, Went to the beach, Saying our last goodbyes, playing charades.
Where - Mission Bay.
When - Sunday, February 8th
Why - Because my cousin was going away to Otago.
On Sunday the 8th of February, my cousins, aunties, uncles, brothers, mum and I all drove to The Mission Bay Beach because my cousin was flying over to Otago. When we drove to the beach my cousins were already there except for some, then came my other cousins. We all sat on a big fala/mat. My uncle stood up and said a few words then he told us to close our eyes and he prayed. After he prayed the children stood up and picked up a plate and put food on our plates. We were all sitting on the mat eating our food. We weren't thinking so we threw our food to the Seagulls and lots of them came. I was a bit frightened.
After I was eating I went with my baby niece and was playing on the sand. My cousins and I all decided to go to the beach area because we were at the grass. We were sitting on a big long rock. When I sat on it, it was very hard. We first were playing charades. My brother liked to play charades, but we all decided to go up one by one and say something to my cousins (Hola). Everyone went up and said something to Hola except for some they were a bit shy. We all huddled up in one space and took a group photo. It was very emotional for her because she was going far away from her family and also her favourite person, her twin (Lupe).
Later on my older cousin told us to come back clean up because we were in Lockdown. We were happy about that because we still wanted to stay until it was dark. But we had to go because we were in Lockdown. We tried to drink every bottle so we could put it into the bin. The adults who were at the bench were talking to Ashley Tonga. She was really funny! We all packed up all our stuff and put the rubbish in the rubbish. I went with my four older cousins, who were girls, and my brother went with my other cousin, who was a boy. The reason why we went with my cousins was because my mum and auntie were already gone because it was too cold for them.
Finally we reached my cousin’s house. We all went to the rooms. But then we came back out. We all drank drinks except for me because I wasn’t really thirsty. They went outside to see the sunset. I didn’t because I was too cold, but I could already see the sunset out of the window. My mum decided it was time for us to go home so we all hopped in the car and drove off.

International Women's Day
We Are Learning To
On the 8th of March it was International Women's Day. In class our class we did an activity to challenge the stereotypes and bias of both male and female roles within our society We first had to get into same gender groups. We then wrote down the positive and the challenges of the opposite gender.
After getting our idea we then got into groups with the boys and shared our answers. Something we noticed in our lists was that they were very different. In the list Women had more challenges. Like raising and looking after their children and feeding them. Men's also had challenges like being a father. They also get to sleep in while the women's do all the work.
I learnt from this activity that Men and Female aren't equal.
Here is my activity below
Do you have any more stereotypes that you could add to this?

HI everyone, I have learnt a strategy. It was really easy! I have made a screencastify of me explaining how I solved it! This strategy is place value. If you would also like to know how to solve equations using Place Value watch my screen castify if that didn't help then watch the other video!!
Here are the videos: Screen castify Addition and Subtraction Video
Here is my work!
Proper Nouns
Hi Everyone, Today for writing we have been practising our grammar skills. We were focusing on Proper Nouns. Proper nouns are person, a place, a thing or an animal. A proper Noun is more specific about things like a Common Noun is a city and Proper noun is more specific and is Wellington.
The thing that I found easy was saying all the months listing the cities. I really enjoyed doing the word search because it was challenging
I found trying to pick who are my best friends and picking two of my family members. I wrote on a paper and put their names on it and pick them and whoever I picked would go on my blog but I couldn't pick out of my best friends so I did both but my family members were just pretty easy.
Check out my Activity's!
Cybersmart Challenge
Today TWP whanau did a cybersmart challenge! This challenge was bout Bookmarks I first made a copy and started off with writing which one of the students had the most appropriate bookmarks. Then I screenshot ed my bookmarks and explained why I chose these websites as my bookmarks!

Great Big Hearing Check 2021
Great Big Hearing Check
Today during our morning distance learning we found out that this week is the ‘Great Big Hearing Check 2021’ week. Triton hearing is running a fundraising event and awareness campaign.
This March, Triton hearing is checking your hearing for FREE to help raise awareness for hearing loss in New Zealand. If you complete the hearing test they would donate $1 to National Foundation for Deaf and hard of hearing.
The thing that I liked about this test was that I can test my hearing and we could donate money to the National Foundation.
