Lockdown Art 2021

Hi Everyone, Today for my learning my teacher decided that we should do some art during lockdown. Today's Art was fun because we got to draw a 3D Cube. Drawing the 3D cube was pretty easy but I had to try and keep the lines staright which I managed to do. The hardest pit of drawing the 3D cube was outlining it because whenever I went off the line I would have to try and do something to fix it because normally I would just rub it but since it was pen I couldn't.
Check out the Results!
Here is a Turtorial on how to draw a 3D Cube

Moala - Diorama

This Week St Patricks Whanau has made a diorama about Sand Dunes in Tahuna Torea. We first had a cardboard box and a fruit tray. We first grabbed to coloured paper green and a brownish paper. Malia and I cut the coloured paper into little strips and twirled them around and put some of them down instead of all of them up. We then grabbed scissors and curled the paper so it looked like a speckled sedge. We also made a tussock and did the same thing we did for the Speckled Sedge. We then coloured the cardboard blue and a sand colour. We made a couple of seaweed and put a little bit of sand and rocks on the fruit tray. We coloured the fruit tray a sand colour. While making the diorama I learnt more about Sand Dunes. About the different type of plants and the environment. Like Karaka, Karaka is a native plant to New Zealand it is green and orange and glossy above and under and are curly. Lisiate made a crab because while he was at the Sand Dunes he saw a crab and decided to draw one. Solomon also made two birds and stuck them to the box. I have made a couple of words that relate to the Sand Dunes environment and stuck them to the box. After making our dioramas we explained what we made and everything about Sand Dunes. Here is the final results! (we made this out of paper).

Moala - How Maui Slowed the Sun/Weaving Paper and Drawing

On the 14th of April my class and I were about to go to The Ki O Rahi Tournament unfortunately it started raining so we hopped back on the bus and went back to school. My teacher (Ms. Nees-Kairua) decided to know how How Maui slowed the sun after knowing how Maui slowed the sun. Palu used the grinder and grind the paper into stripes we used it to weave the paper. Here is a video. After weaving the paper Ms. Nees gave us different parts of the story and drew our part! We first drew it in pencil lightly then used vivid to out line it.

Here are the results I used Orange and White!

Pablo Piccasso Attempt 2

Yesterday, on the 10th of March we did a attempt to try and draw art. This time we've coloured our drawings. First we drew a weird face shape then added eyes, nose, mouth, and hair. Then we grabbed newspaper and placed it on the table. We then got some paper towels so we don't get dirty. Mine first started off good but then when I got to the purple part I used a crayon instead on a pastel. Check out the first attempt for the Pablo Piccasso Cubism art. Here is my 2nd attempt!
