SPXCS - Back at School!

Hi Everyone, Today St Pius X Catholic School started their first day of school! I didn't really expect us to come back to school at level 3. First off when the bell rang we went downstairs and sat down while our new principal Mr. Mailei welcomed us back to school. 

After that we came back into our learning space and got right into work. We first listened to the song 'Together as one' by Andrew Chinn. Then we wrote on a google drawing about our friends and what we want in our friends. We then read the scripture Mark 1 16:20. In our google drawing we wrote who we were excited to see at school and why. What do you think are the key things to have in friends ? Hi Everyone, Today I blogged about the chapter 5-6 Elephant in the room. Chapter 5 and 6 was about how Luke wanted to blend in with the cool kids but mum didn't agree with it so she talked about her silly nonsense list. Elephant in the room Chp 1-2

Hi Everyone, Today I blogged my Elephant in the room Chapter 1-2. Chapter 1-2 was about How Auntie Lena's house was burnt down so she had to move in with Luke and his mum. Luke thought he was a misfit kid like he was a weird kid. The two chapters were also about how at Auntie Lena's house she had this painting and she thought that, that painting was burnt with the house but she was wrong. Her and Luke went to pick up the painting. The painting was a elephant surrounded by colourful design called a tapestry design. Auntie Lena said that, that painting was good luck and was from her other family members and was passed down to her. Anyways wait until Chapter 3-4 So I can tell you more. Check out my work!

In this Article Whale Origins pg.26, The Main person or group of people is the extinct whale that was here over 30 million years ago. The Key thing about the news article was telling us some things about whales like the first whales that were first born. Describing them. This event took place in the sea where all the whales live. This event took place over 30 million years ago where those whales were still here on earth, those whales were here before dinosaurs and humans.

In this Article Space Waste pg.22, the main person or group of people are the Chinese people because they used to own the Space Ship. Also talking about the American Scientists talking about the Space ship. The main thing about this article is talking about the Space Ship also how it broke into little and big pieces. 

This took place in either China or Russia where the space broke into pieces. The Rocket launched 25 years ago. In 2006 one of the scientist of Japanese lost track of the spaceship

Moala Book Review

Hi Everyone, so today's learning is about the book that I read during Silent reading. This book is called "The Baby - Sitters Club Kristy's Big Day". Kristy's Big day is about Kristy's mum and step-dad get married. Since lots of the relatives are coming there are going to be lots of kids as well (there are four-teen kids) Kristy and the Baby-Sitters club members want to help out with the adults. With their help they are going to be looking after the four-teen kids while the parents sort everything out. Once thats finish they have their wedding and Kristy get to be beside her mother.

Moala - Kiwi Flag Tournament

On the 26th of March TWP 4&6 went to Dunkirk to play Flag. We drove to Dunkirk on a bus. We made sure everyone was on the bus and also we had all the stuff. We all jumped off the bus and went towards the field and set up the tents and the gazebo. After setting up the tents and gazebo we put all our bags on the big giant blue gazebo we all decided to practise our passing and kicks. Some took some photos some were still practising. We had to wear the Kiwi Flag shorts so we had to go up the long mountain (it was so tireing) grabbed our shorts went to the bathroom and put on our shorts. We returned and started practising again like passing the pall and running while passing the ball. The boys were the first one to play was Team A&B they played a really good game but Team A won it was five to three. After ten minutes the girls played, we played against Sylvia Park we played against Sylvia four times. The first game we sadly lost to Sylvia Park the score was one to six. After playing we took a break and ate because were starving. The boys then had another game against Panmure District sadly they lost. We then played against Sylvia Park again we sadly lost again. After our game the boys played against Sylvia Park they lost again. We played against Syliva Park and lost. Until it was the last game it wasn't tag it was another game (not sure was it was called). It was a tie. We all felt exhausted after the game because we had headaches. We packed all our stuff and went to the shade because we were waiting for the bus we were playing around. We all went back finally!

My Cake Day

This writing is about my 10th Birthday

Intro - 

Who - My cousins, Brothers, My youth.

What - Practice dances for Sunday Church. (Victory, Me’e), Eat.

Where - A man’s house who is in my church.

When - 26th  Jan 2021.

Why - Because it was my birthday and we had Sunday school.

During the summer holidays it was my birthday. The night before it was my birthday I got a hundred dollars from my aunty… The next day it was my birthday.

The first thing I did on my birthday was to buy my brother’s school clothes. We also had to get my school uniform. Then we got McDonald's. I ordered  a big mac. My brothers got the same thing.

Finally after sitting for a long time we all drove back home. I was waiting until it hit five o’clock so we could go practice for Sunday church. When it was five o’clock we decided to get ready. After getting ready my dad gave me thirty dollars. Unfortunately when we paid for my school uniform plus my stationary it cost sixty - one dollars. My mum didn’t have any money on her so she asked if she could use my money. I said “sure”.

Then we went to practice. We were working on the dances. We only did two dances. The dances are called Victory and Me’e. After dancing we all had a feed of Chicken Nibbles and Pizza. After Practice we went shopping. I wanted to go shopping just so I could buy a cake. I brought a chocolate cake. After shopping we went back home. We ate dinner (it wasn’t really dinner just bread with chocolate and muffins).

After eating and watching youtube we all went to sleep. THAT WAS THE END OF MY 10TH BIRTHDAY! :)

16/11//2020 Communion of Saints Telling a lie

 Tell a lie: I took my brothers slides and he asked who took it and I said it was my other brother.

You shouldn't lie to other because it is really bad but if it is a dangerous situation you should lie so you and your family could be safe.

Story: Once my parent allowed me to go the shops and buy some stuff that we needed. A few minuted has gone by. My mum got worried so she came to the shops with my brothers they saw me come out of the shops like I was perfectly fine. They asked me why I took so long to go back home I told her that I was just talking to the shop owner.

It didn't look like she believed me but she said "at least you are fine". So we went back home I was getting  a little bit worried before they fine out that I wasn't telling the truth. The truth involves the police... My family only found out about this a few days ago. The truth was about the shop owner.

Moala Footsteps: Dance with Maddie

My class and I plus the TWP 4 and the year 5's in the other class. We had dance together,  our dance was Footsteps. It doesn't show much but it does show the 5 elements of dance Time, Energy, Space, Body awareness,and Relationship. I have the meaning of them beside it. I will be updating the slides for the next 5 weeks!

  My class and I have been learning about As I Saw It, we also had our own cards at the front of the card its says what object it has. Mine was Blue Glass Beads with my object I also get a card that's about the object. My teacher told us to read the card to see that it says then we would have to do our objects adventure. My character is Sydney Parkinson,

I am a trinket also known as blue glass beads. I remembered that I first started on a ship called the Endeavour. I like to be put on a long thin white string. Then they put it around their wrist, ankle, or neck.

I don’t know why I was put onto a ship called the Endeavor but when I was in someone's hand I could hear that he was saying he wanted to take me onto shore to show friendship to each other. I heard someone calling his name. It sounded like James Cook so that is what I thought his name was.

When James Cook put me down I  could  see James Cook come back and take lots of me. He gave them out to I think Māori visitors.

I ended up in a room full of children. I was in a bag. I could feel someone lifting me up and putting me on something. I was a little bit scared because I didn’t  know what they were gonna do to me. So I waited peacefully and looked around. 

I saw a  girl come  to me and take me then I felt like I was falling. I looked down and I realised that I was falling. She picked me up and went to another table that looked similar to the other table. She started looking at me weirdly then started typing. I also heard a woman talking ABOUT PINNING OR STABLING ME ONTO A WALL!!!! Then I thought that was the last time here!! (*long sigh*).

The things that happened in Tupaia's life

In Term 3 2020 my teacher put up n the screen a video about Tupaia's adventure. Tupaia's adventure was about how he made a man famous that man was Captain Cook. It was about New Zealand Captain Cook found New Zealand but he didn't really care until when Tupaia found New Zealand he actually put it on to the internet? I am unsure of that because I don't really know if they had internet that time. So basically when we were done watching the video we had to create a biography about Tupaia or Captain so I chose Tupaia. When I was done doing my biography about Tupaia I did a background that I liked then I put my work on to blogger.com I obviously had to put an explanation so the people who are reading my blog knows what is happening. I've said this a couple of times in my blog I have to put my work onto the blog log where I put all my work on when I finished blogging it.
