Today for summer Learning I had to draw a koru here is my koru.
Today I am going to talk about Tanerore,
Tanerore's mum is Hine-raumati his was also the son of Tama-nui-te-ra.
When it is hot and you see something shimmering that is a sign that Tanerora is there. That means that he is doing a haka for his mom.
Kia Ora Moala,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.
I thought this activity was very interesting as it teaches you about Tānerore who you are able to see often on these hot summer days and about the infamous kowhaiwhai pattern seen throughout Māori culture. I was glad to read what you had learnt about Tānerore, have you seen him in the hot air yet this summer?
I thought your Koru Kowhaiwhai patterns are beautiful and I like that you have drawn them yourself, they are very similar to a growing fern leaf. Have you considered adding some color to your drawings like some fern green.
To step up your work you could consider adding a video or tutorial of how you drew your patterns.
Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Ngā mihi nui,
Zana Yates
Thank you Zara for your comment, No, I haven't seen Tanerore yet during summer But I will definitely do a tutorial on how I drew my koru.
DeleteHi Moala,
