Wednesday 10th February 2021-”...Ejected from Parliament for not wearing a tie…”
The main people in this article are Rawiri Matiti The Maori Party co-leader and Trevor Mallard The New Zealand Speaker of the Parliament Chamber in Wellington, Beehive.
The key event from the news article is about a man not wearing a tie but instead he wears a New Zealand Poumanu. This event took place in the New Zealand Parliament chamber in Wellington Beehive. This happened on the first on two thousand and twenty one.
On the first of two thousand and twenty one Rawiri Matiti was kicked out of the New Zealand Parliament Chamber because he was wearing a pounamu and Trevor Mallard wasn’t very happy about that so they had an argument. Trevor Mallard had enough so he kicked Rawiri out of the New Zealand parliament chamber.
In my own opinion I think that it is fair that you could wear business ties to the New Zealand parliament chamber just because it could be fair… But I don’t think it was very fair that Trevor Mallard let Ricaddo Menendez The Mexican guy who wore the Mexican tie. But didn’t let Rawiri Matiti wear the pounamu.
In my opinion I think that it is fair that Rawiri Matiti wore the tie to the chamber. The reason why I think that is because he is representing the Maori Party and the New Zealanders.
I agree with Rawiri Matiti. I know it is a rule to wear a business tie to wear to the New Zealand Parliament Chamber but it also represents the Maori Party.
This took place in New Zealand, Wellington Beehive. The New Zealand Beehive was built in 1969 and was completed in 1981. The New Zealand Beehive is used for a metonym for the New Zealand leadership at large. The reason why they named it Beehive was because it was mostly linked to the New Zealand Government.
